The RFIDemon HF Sector is designed for training on attacks against MIFARE Classic installations that use encrypted sectors. The device is implemented to behave like a real MIFARE Classic reader, allowing attacks such as MFKEY32 to be performed using tools like the Flipper Zero.
LED indicators and an audible buzzer signal whether a presented card is valid or invalid.
The encrypted sector contains a facility code and card number according to the Wiegand format.
The device also supports brute-forcing additional card numbers, and includes error checking to ensure the exercise is not overly simple.
Each unit comes with six cards: three valid cards and three invalidated cards. The invalidated cards contain valid data but simulate cards that have been revoked, for example from employees who have left the company or reported their cards lost.
